    need neighborhood info

Someone I know is probably going to accept a job offer in Atlanta.  He is mid-thirties, single, no kids and a proud tree hugger (his words).

Based on what I recall on this forum and our research, he is considering Little 5 Points, Virginia Highland and Midtown.  Anyone willing to share any observations about these?  For example, how do the they differ?

Candler Park also looks interesting, but is too family oriented?

L5P is a bohemian area, Virginia Highlands is a yuppie territory, Midtown is pretty much gay.

Midtown and parts of Virginia H are more established. Virginia H is also a family-oriented ( in a way) then the other 2. Little 5 will be the cheapest rent/purchse wise and you hardly find kid there.  Your friend will be better of going by the proximity to the office. Traffic in Atl gets worse every day.
