I was browsing the web today and came across a link to this site:
According to the original article in "Psychology Today", okTrends are created by a group of mathematicians behind okCupid online dating site. The stats they've gathered confirm some stereotypes, totally debunk others, and highlight some really interesting trends we did not know about. It is interesting how fun statistics can be.
I looked at two of their posts:
http://blog.okcupid.com/index.php/gay-sex-vs-straight-sex/ (As a disclaimer, the pie chart in the middle may cause a mixture of shock and excitement in men under 30)
They have a bunch more, but I did not look at them.
I thought originally about posting this to my facebook profile, but I am really not certain it is a good idea.
Too many people debate as if the point is to show who is smarter, rather than which conclusion is correct.
