Oh, and about the french maid...  Sure, as long as I get to select the maid and approve the list of duties.  Be nice and I might even get you a pretty one.
 

Ok, so I can't possibly read all the four pages y'all have managed to write in just half a day but to answer pom's question.

That dozen families is out of 50 (roughly) other Russian(ish) families that I know. Actually, I have to amend what I said before. I know about two dozen out of 50 Russian (ish) families where husbands cook more than, or at least as much as, the wives.

Can't help but note that the original post was about men's expectations, not the other way around.  Besides, based on what we learned about Leah from the previous posts, she's quite a cook herself.  We can't begin to know what Leah is really looking for (if she's looking).  Right Leah? 

Sorry, Bagel Roll, that I missed this earlier today.  I don't mind at all that you responded and I thank you.  :)

You understood what I was trying to say.  And, you are right.  I don't mind cooking if it makes sense for me to cook (meaning I'm not sick, very busy, or the hypothetical he hasn't been sitting on his butt all day while I've been at work) or even if I just want to to do it.  But... if someone demands that I do it, he'd better run for cover and he'd better run fast.  :)

 

jeeezzz all this bitching and moaning over simpliest things.... first it's toilet seat, then cooking....
