They left last Sunday to pick up the children.  I don't know if they are back or not, but I just found out the manufacturer made a major screw-up on the furniture, instead of the rush shipping I requested.  Those kids are going to have a strange, potentially dreadful redneck existence.  The least I wanted to do, all I really can do, is make sure they had nice rooms as soon as possible.  :(

Look on the bright side. These kids are going to become friends with other little rednecks and eventually will fit right in, so maybe it'll all work out in the end.

I tend to agree with something James said earlier, I think. 

Adopt a child and do what you want. 

Unless these children grow up to be complete assholes (a separate issue), they need to be nothing but eternally grateful.
