What I like about Americans...
My colleagues...
It happened to be that they are very knowledgeable in what they are doing. There are tons of good specialists. In my industry in particular.
They are also very understanding, very supportive and ... best I ever had.
I have a kid and going to a doctor is never a problem. Everybody got kids around here, I simply could bring a kid to work if there is nobody to stay with her at home.
It's unbelievable for Moscow...
Relationships are much more tough, as I require tons of attention, care, support, etc. And American guys like it "simple" (see above). So we are not a good match. I had some tries - never worked out. I stopped trying, though they are great friends or fellows. They do like to catch up. And really don't expect anything in return.
Russians are taught to give and to receive. But Americans are more kind, open-minded, with a nice self-estim, patient and love their country and kids.
That is my impression...

I would like to get back the same level of effort I put in - on all levels. That's all. (simple.)
Is there such a thing as a 'low maintenance' Russian woman? That would be nice....

I am sure there is.
I have a theory that they don't come to the US.
And have no need to consider american men.
The decision to do something like this is a major, major filter of a particular kind of women.
From which we now stereotype.

Actually, it is amazing.
Low maintenance is a relative term. When i say it, i mean bottom 10% of high maintenance women! :)
