Re: New Russian Sauna in Atlanta - JeJu

Could this be the answer to my prayers?

So what exactly is the 'etiquette' for going to JeJu.

I've never been to a Russian sauna before.  I'm kinda scared....

    lol

(so is it $25 at the door and then $250 for the massage kind of thing?  Or is this a Soviet Social club thing for husbands & wives...?).

    JeJu - walk around naked

    JeJa - Frequently Asked Questions

Does everyone have to walk around naked everywhere?

Yes and no. We provide caps and gowns for use outside of the water facilities. Nude areas are in seperate women and men facility areas of the spa. If you feel uncomfortable being nude in the water area, you can always put a towel around you.

Am I required to make reservations?

No, you need to make reservations for services, but not for the use of facilities. Please check the front desk to ensure the best possible service for you.

    What should I bring?

We provide a uniform. There are also shampoos, conditioners and soaps inside for your use. Everything you need is provided, but if you have sensitivie skin, please bring your own products.

What's so different about your Scrub?

Unlike any salt scrub, we simply use soap and scrub mitts, bringing you a Korean tradition used for thousands of years to exfoliate dead skin cells.

This is not a true Russian sauna, it's is closer to Koren sauna.  The massage is not required and expected from you.  In fact, if you want a massage, you would need to make a a prior reservation.

    What to expect:

Begin your JeJu Sauna experience on our lobby floor, where separate areas for men and women are both furnished with operated lockers, a relaxing lounge and indoor spa, and Healing Rooms. (This area is the only part of the spa that is separated into male and female. The rest of our spa is unisex.) Modeled after traditional Korean bathing houses, there are different heated mineral pools and an indoor spa.

The dry and wet sauna rooms cleanse pores and helps rid the body of minor aches and pains. The cold bath pool not only rejuvenates the body, but strengthens the immune system and helps with blood circulation. Aqua-jets in the spas massage away tension through the use of acupressure. Exfoliation scrub and massage services leave skin feeling silky and smooth. Relax in the lounge area while sipping on an ice-cold beverage at our restaurant, or bask in the warmth of the tranquility.

Re: New Russian Sauna in Atlanta - JeJu

I was kinda hoping to see a naked Russian woman.  Not so much a bunch of naked Russian dudes.

Not to mention, things could get very ugly if there was a Soviet uprising against the English spy.  Painful!

Re: Jeju Sauna - New Russian Sauna in Atlanta

We've gone to this place just over a week ago and we liked it a lot.  It is very clean and has three areas:  men's sauna, women's sauna, and a common area.  The saunas in the common area are not hot at all (only about 100 F) and people can just rest there or meditate or simply sleep.  They also have a pool there and although it is not "olympic size" as they advertize it is pretty large and hardly anyone is there.

My girlfriend and her mom got a massage and just loved it.

We hope to go back there in about a month or so.
