Hello everyone. Is there someone out there who could rent out a room for a short period of time so I could actually live in Atlanta and see all the apartments which are possible for me to rent? I am currently living in Alabama and I know nothing about Atlanta. I have a very good job opportunity but everything depends on how quickly I can move up there and take it. I don't have a lot of money to rent a hotel room or commit myself to an aparment for six months that I may not like or feel safe in. I am a very polite and well mannered 23 year old girl from Ukraine. If you could find it in your heart to help me in this matter, I will see to it that you don't even know I'm there.  

Alice, I wish there were something I could do to help you out.  If you come to Atlanta, I would be willing to show you places that are safe, and steer you away from places that are not.  I have been living in Atlanta most of my life, and I know the area very well.  If you  would like more info, feel free to message me here, and I will see what I can do.

Another option is an extended stay motels/hotels - you can find them in 600-700$ range per month. They are equipped with kitchens and has a minimum needed for a living - bed, bathroom, phone. Not particularly a dream place but you can rent it weekly, daily and not depend on anybody.

I spent 4 months at such place after arrival in Atlanta and I have a kid (which makes it more difficult 'cauz of limited space). Felt safe.
