Star Towers, a mixed-use development project will be breaking ground on Tuesday, January 15th at 1 p.m. at their location just off Buford Highway at Interstate 285. After three years of designing and planning and seeing the City of Doraville embrace final approval of the most exciting project to be developed off Buford Highway in years. The first ten story tower is 46% pre-leased and will be completed in the summer of 2009.
Star Towers proximity to I-285, I-85 and Buford Highway, in addition to its relation to/from the nearby (less than ½ mile) Doraville MARTA station (Metro Atlanta's rapid rail system) and the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport (general aviation) located less then 4 miles by road to the terminal, gives this site excellent visibility and accessibility throughout the region. It should be noted, that DeKalb County is working on changing the name of Buford Highway, to Buford International Boulevard.

At this point in time, there is a void to be filled on the northeast corridor of I-285/I-85.
