Hello everyone,

 My wife and I are moving from California to Alpharetta, GA. 

She is from Ukraine and has had a wonderful time in California.  We lived near a Moscow Deli (1 mile from our home) and she had several close Russian friends.   She is concerned now that we move to Alpharetta, that she will not meet any Russian people.  I have tried the internet as she has as well.

So wondering if there are Russians living in the Alpharetta area. 

If anyone has any insight to Russians living in Alpharetta that would be great.

Alpharetta is one of the most popular area for Russians in Atlanta. I am sure your wife will be able to find friends here as well. Welcome to Atlanta!

Alpharetta is close to other areas, like Dunwoody, Roswell and East Cobb.  These are all very nice, have good schools and are popular with russians.  These are all suburban communities neighboring Atlanta and each other, so even if you are in Alpharetta and your friends are in Roswell or East Cobb, you are still within close proximity.  to everything and everyone.

I know. In a walking distance from where I live. Next door to beverage warehouse ;)

Crappy store, good only for necessities.  There's a really cool Persian store on the other side of the strip though.

Once you and your wife come to Atlanta, pick up any Russian newspaper from the closest food store. This will help you to find our local places to shop. We have them in Duluth, Roswell, Norcross, Suwanee, Alpharetta, and at many other towns...
