    Last minute trip?

What is the best way to fly stand-by from Atlanta to Baltimore in 5 days?

    Thank you!

The best way would probably be private jet. For other ways within 5 days I'd call travel agent like Russia-House if they are still selling tickets. Or go online on travelocity, kayak.com or similar and check hot deals. When I need to fly like "right now" I just go to the airport, buy ticket there and try to get into any flight.

    European!

I'm not exactly sure if Air Tran flies into Baltimore or not, but if it one of their location's to which they fly...  Y nix seichas a big sale going on.  Usually, though, you would need to be one of the 1st ones to find out about it in order to be able to get an awesome deal, like the one they advertise if you'd want a nonstop flight.

I also, just got a newsletter from ClarkHoward.com or whatever his website address is (just go there and click under travel), that Air Tran just cut prices on outbound flights out of ATL.  which is pretty much unusual these days, but I didn't really read into it, since where I need to fly to they isn't one of their location's, and the nearest airport doesn't make much sense due to gas prices and a few other factors.  Hope this may help you :-)!  Good luck!

    Re: Last minute trip?

If your travel dates are flexible, you may want to try Priceline - name your price and book.  The only down side is that travel times may not be the most convenient and once you enter the price they accept, you are obligated to take whatever itinerary that comes up.  Keep in mind, there are 2 airports near Baltimore - BWI and Washington Dullas.  You can sign up for alerts from travelocity, Delta, Airtran to get notified of a sale.  Good luck.

Thank you for all the great advice!

The problem was with the time.

I have to be there by 10AM on Monday and I had some meetings Sunday so I just asked one of my friends to fly me there.

We should leave Dekalb-Peachtree Airport Monday around 7.30A and be in Washington two hours later.

    Re: Last minute trip?

I wouldn't mind having a couple of friends with a private jet.  Think of the possibilities...

you can get a pilots license and timeshare a Cessna pretty cheap these days.  Not sure about jets.
