    the worst parts of going back to work...

    After you've been working from home/unemployed/on vacation/etc., what are the hardest things about going back to work?

    I'll be job hunting in the next month or so, and I'm really going to hate:

    getting up early (instead of staying up all night and sleeping late)

    dressing in work clothes instead of jeans

    not having my "morning" coffee on my patio while reading online news or email (or in my nightgown at my desk during bad bad weather)

    feeling obligated to wear underwear

    not entertaining (I just don't have time when I'm working outside of my home)

    using a hair dryer

    Bouncing around and/or accidentally flashing doesn't seem like the most professional thing to do.

    Last year, I accidentally flashed Gary, the only man (older man, dear dear friend) in my workplace who wasn't gay, happily married, or both.  I was wearing a new shirt that bared more cleavage than I realized.  I was sitting at my desk and bending down in my chair to paint my toenails (had been running late that morning).  My boss walked by and said, "Put them away.  You're scaring Gary."

    Re: the worst parts of going back to work...

    I work from home, mostly, with an occasional visit to the office... I love going in to "bounce around" Wink  just kidding

    In all seriousness, I usually work a lot more when I'm working from home.  Fewer distractions, I guess, so I don't have any more time on my hands than I would if I worked out of the office, regularly.

    when I work from home (i did it a lot at my last job), i end up watching Opra, Jerry springer, divorce court, chain-smoking 2 packs, an eighth of weed, and daytrading stocks.

    not productive.
